That’s where a well-paid summer role comes in handy. Not only can you earn some dollars for your trouble, but you’ll also gain experience and learn some new skills at the same time.

Babysitter

If you like hanging out with young kids, then a babysitting role might be perfect for you. Although many people believe that babysitters don’t earn much, in fact it is often possible to land very well-paying positions. Babysitters usually charge around $10 per hour to watch one or two children, and $12 and upwards to keep an eye on three.

They can also charge extras for making meals, cleaning the house or coordinating play times with other children. In addition, they will tend to make significantly extra on tips from happy customers, or from clients who end up running late or need a sitter to work late hours.
