Where computers and robots are taking jobs away from humans, they simply can’t compete with the emotional intelligence of a nurse. Nursing requires empathy, compassion and caring, all of which only a human being is able to give.  Nursing can’t be automated; patients need a friendly face, a knowing smile and a human touch – so hands on nursing will very much always be a thing.
